Welp....I’m carless until Wednesday or Thursday. Sent Humdrum in to finally get that !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . You know, the rust that started coming through on ONLY the places that the body shop I had my previous accident damage and ruined hatch repainting done at...?

Not going to be cheap ( probably like $800 CAD, if not slightly more ). Went with a guy that came highly recommended by several people - not a garage, he just runs a home business doing bodywork after working at an aircraft composites factory in Lunenburg for several years (Stelia). Hopefully he does good work! Looking forward to getting Humdrum back and then giving her a full detail inside and out to get her looking new again! :)

Hope this works better in the long run than it did last time.

Yup, pretty annoyed that Carstar won’t fix it when the hatch repair was done in 2017 and the accident damage was done in 2015 and both are still under warranty....the only two places on the car that have every received bodywork and they claim it’s not due to their worksma nship quality when the driver’s side rear quarter that has never been touched is perfect ...?

Carstar didn’t do a great job on my (almost new at the time) Mazda3. Color was uneven and not that great of a match as well as not matching the texture, not to mention not painting under the window trim.

Service King did an amazing job on my orange MINI. Color and texture of the paint are a 100% perfect match.

Well actually when my Mazda3 started rusting it wasn’t where they had painted, so there’s that .

Isn’t that pretty much a requirement of any Mazda 3 that isn’t from the last two generations?

Yes, mine (2006)  started around the bottom edge of the hatch. Damn shame, I figured I’d better get rid of it as soon as I noticed it (in 2010). I’d probably still have it, was more reliable then every car I’ve had since.
